Auricularia mesenterica

Description:

Auricularia mesenterica is a species of jelly fungi in the family Auriculariaceae. The fruit body is disc-shaped at first then spreading laterally to form densely tiered gelatinous brackets 2–4cm wide; upper surface of bracket hairy, zoned greyish to grey-brown, paler at the lobed margin, lower surface reddish purple to dark purple with a white bloom, gelatinous and rubbery, coarsely and irregularly wrinkled. Season all year. Common. Not edible. Found In Europe.

On a broad leave tree stump, maybe elm. At university campus, Universidad Autónoma de Madrid
