Sea Purslane

Sesuvium portulacastrum

Description:

This spreading creeper is a succulent herb with roots at the nodes. The plants stems can range in colour from green through to red & orange. The flowers are pink & approximately 1cm long. It flowers throughout the year.

Habitat:

This is found along the entire Queensland coast. It is often seen growing as mats or carpets in sunny, exposed, sandy areas.
