Chironomidae, subfamily Chironominae
Beautiful nematoceran fly, about 8mm. in length; bluish transparent wings with white margin; green-striped thorax, and green abdomen with white bands. Family Chironomidae, subfamily Chironominae, a non-biting Chironomid midge.
