Great fruit eating bat

Artibeus lituratus

Habitat:

There were over a dozen of these bats roosting under the thatch roof over a main walkway at the resort I stayed at. The roof peak was about 30' up and dark, so nobody else even knew they were there. The droppings on the walkway were a dead giveaway the bats were overhead.
