Description:

A chunky, large passerine with a thick, stubby, and conical bill. Female-types have bronze or rufous hood, and rump, with some bronze on the belly. White crescent under the eye and a white chin.

Habitat:

Urban areas, wooded tangles

Notes:

Feeds on berries in small or large flock. This individual had 3 companions and was feeding in a bayside park; the small fruit trees there were providing the only fruit in the area for a mile.
