Chilean Flamingo

Phoenicopterus chilensis

Description:

Measuring 96-107cm and weighing about 2.3 kg. The female is about 10% smaller than the male. The inner third of the beak is pink, the rest black, while legs are pink with darker pink joints. The young are brownish gray.

Habitat:

Peru, Chile, Bolivia, and Argentina to Tierra del Fuego. In Brazil is in the south and southeast.
