Salvia yangii
A nice bush of Russian sage growing at the park gardens. This is a widespread ornamental plant. This plant used to not be considered a sage, and was formerly taxonomically classified as Perovskia atriplicifolia. The plant has uses in traditional medicine, and the flowers are edible and able to be used in dyes. This plant is among those considered for phytoremediation in contaminated soils.
Native to Southeast Asia, this plant is very popular in landscaping and gardening.
