Some creepy crawly centipede!
In the woods on the ground. Northern Indiana.
Not a centipede, but a lovely, harmless millipede. CENTI-pedes have one pair of legs per segment. They tend to be flattened. They run very quickly. They are predators, and are venomous. (Not all are terribly dangerous to humans, but still... best left alone.) MILLI- pedes have two pairs of legs per segment, tend to be rounded, will usually curl up into a ball when scared, and are scavengers, usually eating decaying plant matter.
Yours is a flattened version, but you can still make out the double pair of legs per segment. A very lovely creature, and one you need not be "grossed out" by. I'm actually a bit envious! :)
