Large grasshopper with sparse "leopard spots" on the front wings. Hind wings red with narrow brown band.
Found in rocky and sandy canyon with variety of vegetation from grasses to aspen trees. Overall, very dry habitat.
A wary grasshopper that may land in trees when flushed from underfoot.
