Description:

About 30mm wingspan. Yellow with dark brown markings on the wings. Similar to Epidesmia.

Habitat:

Among gahnia blades in a small local nature reserve.

Notes:

Common names include 'Ochre geometrid' and 'Golden grass carpet'. The larvae feed on Hibbertia sp. of which there are four main species in the hills around here.... http://www.yarraranges.vic.gov.au/Reside...
