Porites divaricata
Photo take at -50 ft on a coral reef this beautiful coral just hang from the reef.Branching colonies, which may cover up to 1 or 2 square metres, but usually this species is found in small clumps. The branches of this species are more widely spaced and open than the two other branching Porites and frequently divide near their tips. Branches are slender, and may be at right angles to their main stem.
A shallow water species, most common on back reefs.Found from Florida all the Caribbean sea , Central America to Brazil.

I love your underwater photographs. I have a water camera (not fancy) and my pictures are usually awful. My son Danny is going to get in touch with you, he is excited at the thought of a summer learning about the reefs first hand. Were you serious and can use him with you? I know you must want to interview him first.
