Great Horned Owl

Bubo virginianus

Description:

Also known as the Tiger Owl, is a large owl native to the Americas. It is an adaptable bird with a vast range and is the most widely distributed true owl in the Americas

Habitat:

Forest

Notes:

At first I though it was a just a Red-Tailed Hawk, but then I noticed the two tufts of feathers popping up from it's head! Couldn't believe it. I know it's post and visit time so I'm definitely going to go back there and get some good ones.
