Short tailed ichneumon

Ophion sp.

Description:

Small insect, about an inch long, orange in color with yellow colored rings around eyes, two pairs of wings that buzzed when it flew, wings had a rectangle shaped black mark on them, it also had long antenna.

Habitat:

Found on my porch at night, buzzing around.

Interesting find! This looks like a species of Ichneumon Wasp from Family Ichneumonidae:

There are a few similar looking species to yours so you might have to do a bit more research to narrow it down. Hope this helps!
