Description:

A white lichen found growing on sandstone barrens amid mosses. Branching appears almost antler-like upon close inspection. Very brittle/fragile. Found in various sizes and somewhat rounded in form.

Habitat:

Sandstone barrens in southern Illinois, Shawnee National Forest.
