Culebrita de jardín/ Puerto Rican Garden Snake

Arrhyton exiguum

Description:

Small but Common snake in the island, reaches up to 45 cm, shows 2 dark lateral lines with a brown background La Culebrita de jardín puede llegar a medir 45 cm, es marrón gris y muestra dos líneas laterales oscuras enciclopediapr.org

Habitat:

Puerto Rico & Virgin Islands

Notes:

This little snake was looking for some food to eat, I'm guessing that the coqui that was nearby looked yummy but this snake couldn't eat its breakfast because I poured some water over its body to scare him away. The little snake got mad at me & that's how I got the 3 pictures that showed him getting out of the bucket. I was really happy for I thought I just photographed a Puerto Rican baby Boa, but no this beautiful little snake is 1 of the 4 snake species that are indigenous, this one is a garden snake.
