Hoplia trifasciata
This fuzzy monkey beetle was quite the beauty. I think it is a female as it was brown with brown and yellow scales - males are black with gray pubescence. These beetles have three-segmented, clubbed antennae, fantastically distinct mesotarsal claws, and iridescent scales on their rear ends.
I found it on the side of a river where it was admiring the sycamore trees.
