Wow, I didn't know these birds had that type of behaviour. I wached that one for a while without even seeing anything that could have looked like a right leg. When I saw it hopping around just on one leg I thought I was pretty sure it only had one but I could have been mistaken.

I doubt it was missing its leg. I always see them standing, often even hopping, on a single leg. They forage on two legs, but sleep and relax on one. Here's a photo I found that shows a whole group of them sleeping: http://www.wilddelaware.com/wp-content/s...
