lacewing larva

Description:

A lacewing larva (? Chrysopidae) walking about on a stem of a banksia rose (Rosa banksiae) with quite a lot of debris on its back. Some of the debris was made up of the crystalline fluff from the back ends of the passionvine hopper seen in pic#3. The young shoots of this banksia rose bush was covered with the hoppers.

Habitat:

garden

Notes:

The young shoots of this banksia rose bush was covered with the hoppers - it was amusing to note that the lacewing larva's back was also covered with some of the fluff !
