Gallus gallus domesticus
A free-ranging village hen and one of her chicks hearkening back to their evolutionary past seeking, as night approaches, a roosting site off the dangerous forest floor in a tree.
Observed in a matoa tree (Pometia pinnata) in a degraded wooded area in a semi-urbanized environment.
