Wonderful spotting!
Yes, it helped. Definitely, this kind of flies have an interesting behavior. Thank you Phillip for your information and details, I'll update my Spotting with them. By the way, it is an incredible capture of this fly in action!
They are definitely the same genus, I came to this conclusion taking into account the physical aspects, but your spotting is hanging with TWO legs instead of One as most of this species, this is weird since it doesn't belong to the behavior of the Hanger Robber Flies, in conclusion, your species belong to the same genus of this one, but the species is a different one, but however there is a lot of variations in this insects, that's why I didn't put the exact Scientific name either, but yes, all Robber flies with hanging behavior belongs to the Pegesimallus genus. Hope I helped. Ps: I don't usually talk in Spanish because even though I know it I'm bad with grammar and I don't want to messed it up.
Hola Phillip, tengo un Spotting de esta clase de mosca, ¿creés que sean del mismo género?
¡Gracias!
