Found on a goldenrod plant in our vegetable garden.
These insects pierce plants to suck out their juices. They move from crop to crop as the season progresses. First they were on the wheat and rye that we grow as a cover crop. Right now they are on our blueberries and various weeds. Soon they will be on the tomatoes, peppers and okra. They do the most damage to tomatoes. I control them by shaking them off of plants into a pitcher of water where they drown.
