Description:

Different delicious and colorful fruits can commonly be spotted around Santa Catarina: maracujás, mangoes, mamão, bananas. A "pé de mamão", as commonly referred to in the region, can be seen in the picture. The tree can grow upto 10 meters and it has big leaves at its top. The papayas are quite big fruits which are green when ripe and yellow when mature and edible. Inside they are intense orange and full of black seeds in the middle, as the melon.

Habitat:

Warm humid regions.
