Spotting

Description:

I'm thinking these are fuzzy roots since they were found under every rock along a trail along iceplant. Just in case its a type of fungi, I wanted to get the communities feedback.

Habitat:

Under rocks along iceplant in backyard.

The only way to tell would be pull on the roots and connect them to the plant, if not then its a fungi. But just looking at them probably roots.
