Barred Antshrike

Thamnophilus doliatus

Description:

In contrast to my growing favorite Fasciated Antshrike. Here is a male and female Barred. These are more common throughout Mexico, and even have a few records showing up in Texas! Note the lack of Red Eye, females are completely distinct from males in this sexually dimorphic species.
