Description:

A small yet vibrant terrestrial flower with reedy stems.

Habitat:

Hawaiian mixed forest in Lava Tree State Park, where the annual climate is warm and humid and the soil is fertile and mostly volcanic.

Notes:

It was introduced to Hawaii from tropical Asia.
