Decorative Silver Orb Spider

Leucauge decorata

Description:

The body and leg shapes and the silver, black and yellow markings of Leucauge females make identification of the genus relatively easy. This species differs from other common Australian Leucauge species such as L. granulata and L. dromedaria, in having a pointed 'tail', a character it shares with a less common tropical species known as Leucauge celebesiana.
