Centrosema molle

Description:

Centrosema molle Mart. ex Benth., called Butterfly Pea or Centro, is a species of tropical American vines in the legume family (Fabaceae). It has recently been suggested that the correct name for the species agronomically known as C. pubescens is Centrosema molle Mart. ex Benth. Vigorous, trailing, twining and climbing perennial herb. Native to tropical South America. Introduced to the Malay Peninsula and Indonesia as a cover crop, probably during the nineteenth century. Now widely grown in the tropics, 50 species occur naturally in South America.

Habitat:

Backyard garden.

Thanks Andrea for the review. Genus Centrosema shares the common name Butterfly Pea with Clitoria ternatea (accdg to the references I've used :) ). Although it is also simply called Centro :)
