Dark Winged Fungus Gnat

Description:

A female fly of the Family Sciaridae, the Dark Winged Fungus Gnats. This one has patterned wings and dark bands on the thorax. The legs are also banded. About 8 mm long. These gnats are found in damp places and often found on fungus or in soil and leaf litter.

Habitat:

Came to an ultraviolet light in the garden, San Cristobal de Las Casas, 2,200 meters.
