Winter moth

Operophtera brumata

Description:

Grey moth of some kind, wingspan of about 20-25mm.

Habitat:

Found it on the wall of my apartment building, most likely resting on threes of the same color as the moth, it was cold outside so it took a pitstop on the wall to wait for better temperatures.

Thank you Fyn Kynd for your suggestion, it seems you are right. I didn't take the measurement of the species accurately so it probably was larger than what I estimated.
