Description:

Small Uncommon sparrow with streaky breast and face with small yellow above the eye. Found Sitting atop dead grass and singing it's quick two note song in the middle of the day. Listed as a near threatened species as a result of habitat loss.

Habitat:

Large, flat fields with no woody plants, and with tall, dense grass, a dense litter layer, and standing dead vegetation
