Ommatius tibialis
Medium to small sized Robber Fly. Mostly gray body with darker dorsal thorax and some dark areas on the abdomen. Black and orange on legs, white face with a little white beard. This Genus has distinct feathered antennae. This species is the only known member of this genus found in NY.
Suburban backyard garden area.
Found resting on the house. No common name.
