Most of the time I am very close and sometimes faaaar away ;-)...
That's exactly the reason why I didn't get closer than Copiphora, the missing median line. These katydids are usually not easy to ID to species level.

You must be very close, Bayucca, it looks a lot like Copiphora rinoceros, except for the purplish stripe on its "back". Maybe it had it.

Other similar one would be Copiphora cultricornis.

But there are many other species there.
