White-tailed Deer

Odocoileus virginianus

Description:

These deer have a very white, fluffy tail. Very elegant and quick, they are good jumpers. This little group looks like they're all females -- there doesn't seem to be a hint of horns on their heads.

Habitat:

Found in Sleeping Giant Provincial Park. This type of deer is wide-spread throughout Canada.

Notes:

These deer were pretty comfortable and calm, just grazing closer to sunset in someone's front lawn.
