Description:

Stocky, banded salamander. Males tend to be whiter striped and females tend to be grayer. The adults range to about 11 cm.

Habitat:

Mixed woodlands with slow moving waters, damp woodlands, swamp areas

Yes we have been. There have been plenty of sightings recently. We also saw spotted salamanders, southern redbacks, and a large amount of woodland frog eggs as well.
