Brown Snake (DeKay's Snake)

Storeria dekayi

Description:

I believe this is a Northern or Midland Brown Snake but I am not positive on the subspecies.

Habitat:

Wooded park near a river. Found on the gravel walking trail.

Notes:

This little guy was posed to strike. This was a very small and young snake measuring approx 6 inches.

I can't tell what subspecies, but it is a brown snake, Storeria dekayi
