Description:

Water plant with three petals and yellow center. No visible leaves but buds and stems are visible. Growing in standing water from 8 to 12 inches deep in a manmade swamp of densely growing bald cypress. Flower is one inch across in size.

Habitat:

Manmade swamp with a very dense forest of bald cypress. Growing in standing water. Very shady with only filtered light.
