Description:

Large, common grasshopper easily identified by two broad dark bands across front wing. Hind tibiae ("shins") pale yellow.

Habitat:

Open area along trail through riparian corridor (Fountain Creek). This is a grasshopper of vacant lots and open, rocky fields.
