Description:

Large (34"), heavy bird that is a good swimmer as well as a good flyer. Non-migratory. It has a defensive spur on each wing, plumes on it's head and has a very loud call (screamer).

Habitat:

Feeds on the ground in grasslands and cultivated fields. Monogamous and mates for life.
