American White Pelican

Pelecanus erythrorhynchos

Habitat:

favor shallow coastal bays, inlets, and estuaries also marshes, lakes, or rivers.

Notes:

I was surprised to learn they behave so different from the Brown Pelican (which I'm used to seeing at south FL beaches) Instead of diving out of the sky into the ocean, these guys were floating along in a group (a la ducks) in the inlet and would just dive or stick their heads in to catch fish. They were doing this pretty far out in the water though, to my cam they were just white specs. I had to wait until some flew over head to get a couple of shots.
