I noticed that but the only photos of the w\White mouthed I could see did not show the bottom part of the mouth...hehe...I must say I have many more pointers now to look at when I encounter one of the eel species again!!...and next time I'm going to take photos from all angles!!
It looks like half the pages say Stouts and the others say Abbotts, never sure with commons names but all have the same scientific name. Looks like some have lots of spots and others fewer, might be more/fewer depending on location

The lining of the mouth looks different in the White mouth moray, mine is all speckled where as that one is purely white from what I see

I was searching for an ID for this species for soooooo long, this is the closest I came. I think I need to get an Eel ID book
Scott..I believe I have the same one, but can not find ID...the spots does not conform to the Stout ID??
