Unmistakeable bird of our region. In my opinion one of the most beautiful birds in Europe (with one of the best songs). Characteristic red eye mask and gold strap across the wings makes it unmistakeable.
This region is rich in deciduous forest. This particular flock was perching on the pear tree just outside my balcony.
