My suggestion is based on location and the presence of a small crest. As Liam mentioned, this one would be best confirmed by birdforum.net.
Mayuresh, I notice that all your spottings have the same location, which is central Johannesburg and does not correspond to the habitat seen on your photos. There is lot variation in bird distribution within South African. Make sure you move the pin on the map as close as possible to the place of spotting, and provided some information about habitat. Thanks!
It is a species of Lark (Alaudidae). Species is hard to determine since most larks are very similar and the species are numerous. I suggest asking the folks on this forum: http://www.birdforum.net/forumdisplay.ph...
