Motorbike Frog

Litoria Moorei

Description:

Sorry about the quality, he was very mobile and I only had my iPhone. There were plenty of frogs about that night (the noise was deafening) and it didn't take long until I found this guy. The frog is predominantly brown, with a distinctive yellow stripe down the centre of its back, and it's speckled with green. The frog is also easy to identify even if you can't see it, by its croak, which sounds like a motorbike revving up.

Habitat:

Found only about 1-2 m (3-6 ft) from a local pond on a golf course.
