European Robin; Petirrojo

Erithacus rubecula

Description:

The European robin is a small insectivorous passerine bird. Around 12.5–14.0 cm in length, the male and female are similar in coloration, with an orange breast and face lined with grey, brown upperparts and a whitish belly. I spotted this one when feeding at a bird feeder in my garden. At the end of the winter the extra supply of food is extremely important for these small insectivores.

Habitat:

House garden.
