Osprey

Pandion haliaetus

Habitat:

almost any expanse of shallow, fish-filled water, including rivers, lakes, reservoirs, lagoons, swamps, and marshes

Notes:

Osprey couples return to the same nest year after year, and this nest has been on this particular tree on the tip of the Florida Peninsula for many years. I believe the male (smaller) was bringing hefty branches and making repairs while the female supervised flanked by 2 European Starlings.
