Small, bullet-shaped insect highly variable in color. Association with willows helps identify it.

Habitat:

Found at Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. Natural habitat there is mixed coniferous forest with Gambel's Oak, chokecherry, alder, cottonwood, and aspen.

Varies considerably in color and pattern.
