This is the Green winged teal also known as Eurasian teal.
BTW nice spotting.

Incase it helps, there are some more pictures to this sighting

I guess they could be considered as the same species for now. so Fyn you may be correct

It was supposed to be a subspecies of A.crecca. It says its sometimes still considered as one. I'm not sure

Green winged teals are not found in India, only in North america
