bleeding-heart vine

Clerodendrum thomsoniae

Description:

According to Wikipedia, a more suitable common name is "bleeding glory-bower" because it is unambiguous, however I am more familiar with the common name used above :-). The flower is native to tropical West Africa.

Habitat:

Growing as an ornamental in a semi-urban garden in an under-developed part of Biak Town (on the edge of Kompleks PPG YPK Petrus Kafiar), Biak Island. This is in the equatorial tropics.
