Herpyllus ecclesiasticus
This spider crawled down the T.V. My budgie was soon to alert me.
I threw him/her outside, hopefully its not to cold?
I agree, not a female but a male, Eastern Parson Spider - Herpyllus ecclesiasticus. Thanks kyrontf !
It's a ground spider (family Gnaphosidae). Maybe something like Herpyllus ecclesiasticus? It's known from Ontario and fairly widespread. I think I can make out a similar pattern here, but I'm not sure.http://bugguide.net/node/view/2041
