I agree, not a female but a male, Eastern Parson Spider - Herpyllus ecclesiasticus. Thanks kyrontf !

It's a ground spider (family Gnaphosidae). Maybe something like Herpyllus ecclesiasticus? It's known from Ontario and fairly widespread. I think I can make out a similar pattern here, but I'm not sure.
