Description:

Very large, wingless grasshopper. Varies greatly in color from brown to gray, green, blue, or pink.

Habitat:

Found this among herbaceous vegetation in an otherwise very dry agricultural area just off the side of the road.

Notes:

Populations of this species have a boom and bust cycle.
